Finding fun things to do in Dallas
This past weekend we were lucky enough to spend some time with Ike and Bekah. To make matters even better- Bekah is from Dallas and has tons of fun ideas for activities! We decided to all head over to the Dallas World Aquarium to check out what they had to offer. Imagine a canopy tour/ swiss family Robinson episode and that gives you the general idea of the inside of this place. It really was amazing.
Ike and Bekah
This bird was sitting on the fence, but he decided that he liked Bekah's shoulder better. Can you tell she was surprised? With all of the birds flying around the building it was just a matter of time until one of us got pooped on... I'm guessing since I'm the biggest target it makes sense that I got nailed.
I feel like a whale in this picture, but it's proof that we really were there! Thanks again for a great weekend!

I Think I'm Nesting
We're getting ready for little Austin to come! I've been trying to work as much as possible, but when you have a bowling ball under your shirt it makes getting close to mouths a little tough. In my spare time I have been getting the nursery ready.
All I have to say is "Ta-Da!" Please note the paper lanterns. They were really hard to hang and they're still trying to straighten out. (I'm still proud of them) We've decided to go with a polka dot theme for the room.
Our little guy does not have his own room- he's being forced to have his room combined with the office. We're still trying to downsize on all of our stuff. We're trying to decide if we really need all of our old tests and homework. I guess we still think we need them since they're still in his room. Maybe we'll change our minds before he comes... or the next baby. Andrew thinks that the walk in closet would make a fine little bedroom for Austin and he's a little bitter he's infringing on his territory. :)
It's been fun finding little accessories- like my dot rugs!
I'm especially proud of the crib bedding. With lots of help from my wonderful Mother-in-law, Rinda, I was able to make the crib quilt, bumper, and glider cover. I was trying to be "cheap" about the bedding and make my own, but I ended up purchasing a sewing machine. Woops :)
So ready or not Austin, we're ready for you to come!
