Moving!

This past weekend was a VERY tough one. My parents have decided to move out of the house they have been in for 35 years. I've tried not to think very much about it, but I think it will be hard going back to Boulder and not "going home". Andrew keeps telling me that we can still drive by... I guess that is supposed to be some consolation. The new house looks beautiful and I'm sure it will feel like home in no time.

It was hard work moving all of our stuff, but I we managed to have a good time in the process.

Okay, five bucks goes to anyone who can tell me what is in this moldy packet.

50 cans of motor oil...25 cans engine grease...10 cans of pest control 1 packed up garadge... PRICELESS

Jo Jo doesn't quite know what to do with himself now that everything is packed up. I think one of the bigger concerns of moving is how Joge will get around on the wood floors. I'll keep everyone updated on that one.

Andrew's Mission Reunion

It was time for the annual Mission Reunion. It was nice to see so many friendly faces again. It was also nice to see all of the new faces (there have been quite a few babies born.)

Stephanie and I were so glad to have each other.

After the typical introduction... "Elder Baron!" Hey, do you remember such and such? Oh, is this your wife? Insert more mission memories here" Stephanie and I decided to excuse ourselves and try doing some cart-wheels down one of the vacant hallways- in heels, might I add.

We finished up with one of my favorite restaurants NOODLES!

We were a little loopy after spending a few hours trying to be reserved.

Star Patient!

This is my public thank you to Andrew for sitting through 3 hours worth of scraping, poking, and polishing! To my defense, the three hours he had to endure yesterday was much better than the six hours it took back in February! Everyone look at those pearly whites! (I tried to get Andrew to hold up the spit sucker, but he refused)

Life is passing quickly! Andrew is busy applying for jobs and going to school and H&R Block classes. I'm busy with trying to find patients and primary. I think we are happiest when we have plenty of things to do, but we are finding it hard to make time for each other. I'm sure every married couple feels like this- especially through school. I wish we had awesome happenings to report- but this is it for today.

Soccer Season is here!

I know what you are all thinking... this sport is dangerous! We showed up to the first soccer game to a girl breaking her ankle and an ambulance coming to cart her off to the hospital. What a way to start the season! When the ambulance finally left we got to play our game and we won by quite a landslide. Here are a few photos of me and Zarah (my cousin).

Not Your Average Hot Dog!

We have been enjoying having Jeff and Brianne living right down the street. I think Andrew and I sometimes forget that they are newlyweds and not our "live in friends". We enjoy them- what else can we say? A couple of weeks ago, we took a day trip floating down the Provo river. In addition we went to the legendary "J Dogs" or is it " J Dawgs"? Anyways, we were pretty impressed by our hot dogs and special sauce. We all look like starving animals! I guess we all loved those dogs!We will update with some of the pictures from tubing soon!

A Taste of Chicago

Andrew and I are pleased to announce the arrival of our camera! We thought that it had been stolen from my luggage. As it turns out, I was scatterbrained and left it in the basement of our friends house in Chicago. Whoops. I think I will need to cancel the many different complaints and police reports that I have filed. We're glad to have our camera back. So, consider yourselves forewarned- there will be lots of pictures.

Chicago was such an amazing place to visit. There is so much to do; I can't imagine that anyone would ever get bored in that city! The first day we spent out on the town. It happened to be the Forth of July and the "Taste" was going on. There were thousands of people crammed into a relatively small area, but we had tons of amazing food.

There were several blocks near Millennium and Grant Park blocked off! Tons of restaurants from all over Chicago come and set up little booths where you can sample or "Taste" food from their menus. You pay for the food with tickets that you buy (A little bit like a carnival). 11 tickets cost 7 bucks. A taste usually cost 3 tickets. When you calculate how much everything costs- you realize you're totally getting ripped off, but it is worth it for the experience. Crazy! I think our favorite foods from the Taste were samosas and cheesy garlic bread. The tall building behind Andrew is the Sears Tower!

We eventually made it up to Libertyville to stay with some old friends from GA. We are SO thankful to them for everything they have done for us! They are a really good example of generosity, and we hope that we can share that same generosity for others in the future. Thanks Austins!

They have some Chinese E-bikes (electric powered) that we rode through the Des Plaines River Forest Preserve which backs up to their yard - a recipe for fun!
