Austin's best impression of "Blue Steel" from Zoolander
Austin is 2 weeks old today and we had his two week appointment aka "The weigh in". Let me preface... Austin was 9.77 lbs when he was born and 5 days later he was back up to 9.5lbs. Normally, it takes about two weeks for babies to get back to their birth weight, but not our little hos. Since he has been gaining so well we all made bets last night about how much he would weigh. I guessed 10lbs thinking that there was NO WAY he would actually be that heavy... I'm proud to announce our little guy is 10.3 lbs and 23 inches long. The nurse thought his weight was due to a poopy diaper - nope. He's in the 99th percentile for weight and 98% for height. He's currently off the charts and the doctor refers to him as "Moose". We're so proud of our little man! We no longer fit into newborn clothes or diapers. Good thing 'tis the season' to go shopping!

What a handsome little male model you have! I was going to tell you that my birth story was very similar to yours...I went into labor, but didn't want to go into the hospital, called people to see if I was having contractions :) FUN! I'm glad everything worked out well...we miss you guys!

So sweet! He is such a cutie and you seem to be holding up well too. I love that they call him moose... our Abi still isn't that big and she is over three months! Way to be!

I love his blue steel face. Awesome. And welcome to the world of big babies. It's great. When I went in for my 6 week check up they thought sadie was 6 months old not 6 weeks.
Congratulations on your sweet baby!! Our family is used to great big babies and they seem to be healthier that way. He is sure a beautiful little guy. Love, from Boulder!!
Mandy, Austin out weighs brother's three month old son. Colter only weighed about 6 pounds when he was born and has had some minor health problems that have interfered with his weight gain. He had surgery last week and so he should start gaining more weight soon.
