Grandma Rinda sent this comic to us. At 2 o'clock this morning it made me feel MUCH better. :) We're writing this post especially for Austin's great Aunt who is also awake at 2 in the morning and checks the blog. So, this one is for you!
Living in the bible belt- we have to practice being outwardly spiritual. Austin in no exception! See how well he says "I see the light!"
I threw this picture in to show how big he's getting. We think his little face is changing. I'm not sure he's ever really been baby faced. We call him our "little man" and that's just what he looks like.
We have a really hard time with "tummy time" in our house. When we lie him down on the blanket he just tries to find something to eat (usually his hand) and face plants. That really isn't much of a problem, but he just keeps his little head pressed into the blanket and doesn't move...
Last night this was our alternative to tummy time. We sat him in the bumbo and he did really well keeping his head up. He got tired after a while and chased his hand with his mouth (a frequent occurrence).
I've fallen and I can't get up! (I really can't, but it's okay because I can eat my hand)

good idea with the bumbo and the boppy! Mason is pretty steady with his head - but sometimes loses concentration and flops around :) I can't wait to meet Austin! Hopefully sooner rather than later!
Ha, that is so funny. Life is always better, at our house, when you have your hand to suck on. I may have to try out this alternate form of tummy time :)
Love it! He's got the "I see the light" thing down. Now he just needs to start shouting "Praise Jesus" and "Amen, brother" at the top of his lungs at random intervals in sacrament meeting and he'll be a true Southerner. When he starts trying to charm snakes and speak in tongues though, I'm afraid you're going to have to have a little heart to heart with him. MIss you guys!
He is just so cute! I love the pictures and the comic.
We have a webcam so we'll have to talk to you guys with it so we can see you guys and see Austin.
I love the pictures. Austin is looking so grown up in the white and khaki outfit picture. I have to tell you that Zach was on my lap when I was reading the post and he saw that picture and got really excited and started laughing and such. It was pretty cute.
I love the comic strip! And he is a little man, it is so cute. How are you doing Miss Wake Up At 2.am.?
He is changing so much! I'm ready to see him again! He's cute not smiling, but wow, when he smiles he's definitely adorable. I love the "mouth chase hand" scenario. And not to worry about tummy time not being "super" effective. Brooklyn did the same thing, only she screamed as well when we put her on her belly. I suppose I would too if I was high-centered like she was.
We're close to crawling! Yay!
Hey!! Ethan, my son, is wearing that same pjs! We had to roll up his extremely long sleeve exactly like what you did to Austin! haha.
